Viareggio is located on the Ligurian Sea. It extends for 10 km of sandy beach where it is possible to enjoy the sun and the salty air which has always attracted generations of visitors. If you want to go out for a stroll leave the Palace Hotel and cross the road. Here you will find yourself in the most impressive and artistically prestigious area of the city, for the quality and number of architecturally interesting buildings: The Promenade. In the early 19th century the promenade is embellished by Liberty, eclectic and deco style buildings designed and decked by famous architects like Galileo Chini, Alfredo Belluomini, and Ugo Giusti. Over the years it has become the haunt of the residents of Viareggio and many others. At the weekends and with the start of the spring and summer it is always animated and redolent of voices and colours. Do not underestimate the shopping potential: here you can find a long line of luxury shops where you can indulge in a shopping spree.
